Total sample = 2826
We didn’t complete 35 RecIds, but we did complete an additional 1% of the sample and have made it to 24.1% of soldiers complete.
We also completed 299 grandchildren. That brings us to 25.22 percent of the total grandchildren complete.
We didn’t quite reach our ambitious goals, but we still did a lot of good work.
Some additional good news. I calculate the percent of grandchildren complete by looking at the total number we’ve done divided by the total number in the database. But we actually have more grandchildren in the database than we committed to completing in our grant proposal. I do this because I didn’t originally know the number from the grant. But also, if we complete all the grandchildren in the database, we’ll have an even more robust sample. And if we lose soldiers in the sample (which we always do), then we’ll still have plenty of grandchildren.
If we use the number from the grant (26,475), then we’ve completed 32% of the grandchildren. Pretty impressive!
