Those of you who worked on soldiers in the POW database, please look back on all your fond memories of that time. We will be making a video and would like to feature an interesting POW. We're looking for a soldier that matches some or all of the following criteria.
- POW
- heroic
- interesting disabilities
- has photos
- interesting life story
If any of you input such a soldier, could you let me know?
Thomas O'Dea/O'Day (0211114766)--He sticks out in my memory as memorable although some of the reasons why have faded. I know there was a picture he drew of inside Andersonville Prison, and there is a picture of him. I think (not sure) his son became a doctor, but may be confusing him with someone else as it's been so long. He was among the first 20 I worked on.
ReplyDeleteI know there have been some others that I though where interesting points about them that stood out--e.g., one of them was involved in Sultana explosion and there was something further about that--but, unfortunately, I don't have a good enough memory to remember the names.
S.H. Raudebaugh/Randebaugh (2411116884)--honestly,....I can't remember if I just personally found him interesting or if there were interesting things about it in the sense you are looking for. He just jumped out at me for some reason when looking through my POW's names.
