A note about WWII draft cards: There is an issue for old man’s draft cards (for men born between 1877 -1897) from the following states: DE, MD, PA, WV.  They were microfilmed with a back and front of the card in one image, but the two sides do not go together.  You have to get the front of the card from the first image and click on the following image (clicking on the arrow to the right of your card) to get the back side that corresponds to your guy.

First image

ALGERON Sidney Jenkins is the top card in this image

The bottom card is NOT Algernon

Subsequent image

The top card is Allen Albert Jenkins’ front card

The bottom card is ALGERNON JENKINS back card

  1. In the 1930 and 1940 columns, should we leave the ones marked E as they are? Or change them to X?
