Since I haven't asked in a while ... Do you have any questions you'd like answered in this space? Did our census meeting bring up any issues?

Irene and Janice are busily preparing for our upcoming (in March) census inputting conference. It will be excellent.

To help them prepare, we'd like to know if you have any questions or confusion.

• Do you have a specific inputting-related question?
• Are there any searching tools or websites (such as Family Search) you'd like to learn more about?
• Do you have any questions about the census?
• Do you have any questions about death records?

If you have any questions, please submit them in the COMMENTS. That way, Janice and Irene will be able to access them easily.

During the conference, we are hoping to have time for small-group or one-on-one work. Over the next few weeks, make a note to yourself if you have a specific family you'd like help with. If there is time, Janice or Irene might be able to assist you. Please don't list these in the comments or email Irene and Janice. Just keep a note for yourself.

We hope this will be an excellent meeting and everyone will learn something new.

Review old blog posts

Please spend 30 minutes this week reviewing some of the older posts on this blog. Read the titles of  posts and select a few to read based on questions you might have, rules you're unsure of, or anything you might want a reminder of.

If you think of questions that aren't answered on the blog, email me, and maybe I'll write a post answering them.

Checks

If a checker says in the checking document to ask Heather or Sandy about something, please go to them (or email Sandy) and ask unless you have been able to resolve the question yourself.  Do not assume that one of us is reviewing every check and will automatically answer the question.  We want to see, first of all, that you are actually going through the checks carefully.  Also, we don't want to stop and open up grids and documents if we don't have to because you have been able to resolve the issue already.  With some experienced inputters, we may not review the checks at all.

It is your responsibility to make sure that all questions from your checks have been resolved.
