New photos - Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado

Here are some photos I took in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado.

We visited Ayres Natural Bridge near Douglas, Wyoming.

These are the Oregon Trail Ruts. Over years of use, ruts up to about 5 feet deep were carved into the rocks. Sorry, you can't tell how deep they are in the photos.

There are giant cowboy boots all around Cheyenne.

We drove to the summit of what used to be the Lincoln Highway.

Then drove along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway and went on a short hike.

We saw a moose!

We visited Scotts Bluff National Monument. It was here that we began to notice that landmarks in the area were often named for people who died near them. In this case, Hiram Scott was deserted by his companions.

This is part of the original Oregon Trail.

My cousin's cantaloupe plant.

We hung some medals and phots on the wall. This is my great grandfather Abraham.

Some flowers. I think I have this first one oriented wrong, but I kind of like it this way.

We met some rescued otters and a sloth that can paint.

We wandered around Pine Bluffs.

  1. Wonderful photos! Many remind me of Colorado and our travels to Utah. Makes me nostalgic for the West. You must have had a great time. Awesome that you saw a moose too! Thanks for sharing some of your photos.
