Wild Kingdom at Coralee's house

Thanks to Coralee for sharing some nature videos and pics. Here's what she has to say.

We took a couple of videos and pictures that Eli and Sebastian want me to share with everyone. This one is of a goldfinch eating seeds out of our zinnias, it was very exciting.

It’s hard to see in the video, but there are adult sparrows feeding babies. The babies seem to be the same size as the adults, and they can fly, but otherwise seem completely helpless.

Here is another video that’s hard to see the details. There is a flying squirrel on the feeder (we call that one Frank) and another one pokes his head out from the top railing and then zips around to the feeder (we call him Zippy).  Also, there’s a National Geographic article about how flying squirrels’ fur is fluorescent! Here's the link.

We saw some cicada pupae in the dirt this morning, I don’t know if this would be something that people would want to see on the blog, but here they are!
